This 8 hour course is designed to train officers to recognize, understand,
and properly investigate identity theft and related crimes. The officers will
learn the elements of the crimes, modes of commission, victim support, reporting
and related evidence issues. This much anticipated class will give the law
enforcement student current information and statistics on local and nationwide
trends that suspects employ to gain personal information and documentation from
unsuspecting victims.
The student will understand what is required for filing and prosecution of
identity theft suspect.

This course is designed to train field officers to recognize, understand,
and properly investigate cases that relate to digital evidence and related
high technology crimes. The officer will learn elements of the crimes, modes
of commission, proper seizure / storage, transportation of digital evidence,
and report writing.
This class fulfills the requirements of penal code section 13515.55 which
requires all supervisors to receive training in the investigation of high
technology crime
